Chris Hegeman, Manager at Bliffert Lumber in Milwaukee, WI, shared his experience on the impact BLD Connection has had on their team:

"We joined the NLA, now BLD Connection, about a decade ago to take advantage of the educational opportunities that they had on offer. Since joining, we have sent more than 100 employees to various classes, Expos, and roundtables. We are especially fond of the Estimating 1-2-3 course as well as the Yard and Delivery Workshop, having received great feedback from the employees that have attended. After sending our employees to these training and networking experiences, we find that they come back feeling valued, engaged, and motivated, both from the learning as well as the camaraderie that they have found with each other and their peers across the industry. The Wisconsin Future Lumber Leaders has also been a success from our team’s involvement. The chance to meet peers in the same or similar stages of their careers to engage in networking and discussions of the common challenges and successes that they share leads our folks to great ideas and empowerment.”
